Yes. But sometimes repairs are necessary.
How do I know what type of floor I need?
In today's business environment, with all its multi-technological requirements, access floors play an increasingly large number of roles. Thus, it is crucial to identify the necessary function of your installation. A central concern is how frequently the installation will need to be accessed, as this will have determine the type of access flooring most appropriate. Look through our product line to help guide your decision, and we can help advise on the best solution for you.
How high should my floor be?
Essentially, and as above, this largely depends on the intended function for your floor, but it is often our experience that an extra few millimetres at design stage will save considerable problems later on.
Can I put an access floor on to an existing wood floor/ vinyl tiles/ concrete planks / a block and beam floor?
We have done installations on a variety of surfaces, on the provision they are reasonably level. However, if you are unsure, we will come and inspect the proposed installation space and advise you.
Where does the access floor come in a build programme?
There are various perspectives on this, but, ideally, access flooring should not be considered until the building is watertight, and plastering and other wet trades have been completed.
Is access flooring just for offices?
Absolutely not. A wide variety of premises now make use of access flooring. Schools, shops, police stations, fitness centres, hospitals, production facilities and museums are just a few institutions where access flooring has been implemented to great effect.
