Adhesive Raised Floors
Raised floors are put together in a handful of steps. One of these steps involves adhering the pedestals to the subfloor. The subfloor, typically wood, steel or concrete, will first have been cleaned properly before any bonding occurs. Without this, the integrity of the entire structure can be compromised. Unfortunately, it is often a step taken too lightly by installers despite its being as important as the design itself.

There are other critical considerations with the use of adhesives in raised floors. First, the adhesive must be compatible with any substances used in the cleaning or mounting of the subfloor. If an installer is not careful, this can cause trouble down the line. Further, if raised floors are to be waterproofed to protect from sprinkler systems or other leaks, the epoxy later required to seal the flooring must be also be compatible with the initial adhesive.
The Process of Adhesive Raised Floors
Installing adhesive raised floors may look relatively simple, but these concerns are very real. Some non-specialists may try to install their floors themselves, but this is not recommended. Fieldmans Access Floors Ltd is an independent installer of raised floors with 20 years of experience and can be trusted with these matters. Quality is always the most important concern at Fieldmans Access Floors Ltd.
Adhesive raised floors can radically transform a workspace, if installed properly. Raised floors allow users to tuck wires and cables out of sight, while maintaining easy access to them at any point. The subfloor systems are then also easily reconfigured depending on a user's need. For more information, please call 0208 462 7100 or write to Enquiries@Fieldmans.com.
