Two types of Raised Flooring

These are two basic types of raised flooring systems available; Loose lay or gravity held products and lockdown or screw down products. As the name suggests, loose lay or gravity held products are held in place by their weight. This type of system allows easy, speedy access to the floor void beneath the raised flooring, which can then be replaced just as easily. Lockdown or screw down products is a type of system where the floor panel is fastened to the pedestal head thus providing a very solid immovable floor. This type of system still allows easy access to the void beneath the raised flooring, however the type of finish available for use on the raised flooring is limited.

Raised flooring can improve workflow, enhance design, and even improve air quality. They can also enhance a property's value for future renters or buyers. For more information on how raised flooring can benefit a workspace, please call 0208 462 7100 or write to Enquiries@Fieldmans.com.
