Caring for your Raised Flooring
Raised flooring is hard wearing and built to last, however with improper care and poor maintenance, the lifespan of the floor will be reduced considerably. A well maintained floor will result in a cleaner, more attractive, but more importantly safer working environment. When cleaning your raised flooring harsh cleaning solutions and chemicals should not be used, as these may damage your floor. Improper cleaning of your raised flooring may also cause your floor to delaminate or chip, which in turn can affect the antistatic properties of your floor.

Not forgetting to clean beneath the surface
Raised flooring should be routinely cleaned and maintained above as well as below the surface. Beneath the raised flooring is the under floor void. This void can be accessed whenever panels have been removed for whatever reason. When this opportunity arises, the cleanliness of the under floor cavity should be inspected. If there is a need for a clean, the ideal way to do so is by using a vacuum cleaner. However great care should be taken as it is highly likely there will be live cables and expensive fibre optics in the void.
