High Pressure Laminates with Access Flooring

High Pressure Laminates (HPL) can provide an elegant twist to any modern day access flooring. They are created by fusing together multiple layers of Kraft paper saturated with phenolic resin. They are fused under heat and pressure, and a layer of melamine saturated decorative paper is added at the same time of the fusion.

Usually, in most modern flooring laminates, a very thin top sheet of clear or translucent alpha-cellulose paper saturated with melamine resins is added to the overlay. This additional layer adds additional wear resistance and is commonly used with printed patterns to visually produce texture and colour.

How can HPLs be used with Access Flooring?

HPL is produced as a single sheet the same size as the access flooring panel, and is applied during an automated assembly process at the factory. It is very easy to maintain as it does not need to be waxed, and is a brilliant surface for dissipating static, hence suitable for use in computer rooms.
