Production of Crespi Raised Floor Systems

The Background

The original dimensional tolerances of the tiles in porcelain stoneware tiles are larger than those of the final modular panels requested from the European norms UNI EN 12825 regarding the raised floors.

A rectification, made by an advanced technology, is therefore necessary to determine the dimensional and the angular squaring tolerances with elevated precision.
The tiles of porcelain stoneware are also very rigid and fragile, are therefore it is necessary to proceed with a process of adhesion to the structural nucleus by means of special adhesive. The adhesive is very elastic, water resistant, non flammable and non-toxic; this always allows higher elasticity for the modular panels and elevated resistance to loads, thus reduces the brittleness of the tiles of porcelain stoneware.

Procedure:

PHASE 1: the production process begins with the cycle of automatic cohesion of the components of the panel.

PHASE 2: this phase produces, with high precision rectification, the dimensions and squaring of the modular panel, producing,at the same time, sides with conic section.

FINAL PHASE: the panel, rectified and squared with minimal tolerances, is fitted with a perimeter trimming of anti shock and self extinguishing ABS with a colour similar to the porcelain surface.
