Raised Flooring Recycling Plan
Fieldmans supplier Kingspan uses a raised flooring recycling plan which leads the way in the UK industry with the first of its kind recycling system. The idea is that the amount of waste generated through the installation of raised flooring is reduced, so effectively less ends up in landfill. Kingspan are allowing their customers to return to the site off-cut panels, which will then be shredded and recycled back into the manufacturing process.

As Kingspan are a UK manufacturer, they are able to take advantage of the vehicles volleying between the site and customers to collect the off-cuts for the recycling programme. This system would be much harder for raised flooring companies in places like Europe and China, as more energy would be consumed in trying to get the excess materials back to the site than the entire process of recycling.
Environment and Sustainability
Kingspan are accredited to ISO 14001 environmental management as a manufacturer of raised flooring. ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard regarding environmental management; providing a framework for the development of environmental management systems. The majority of floor panels are manufactured in the UK from FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) approved timber, therefore reducing carbon footprint to a minimum.
For these reasons and more, Fieldmans Access Floors Ltd proudly offers Kingspan access floors to its customers.
